I spent many years searching for love in all the wrong places. Being born the fifth child of eight, my parents did their best to spread the love they had, but it wasn’t enough for me. I was often riddled with fear, anxiety, and a general feeling of unsafety. It was only recently that I realized that I was convinced at a very young age that I would be abandoned. I was not worthy of the love and attention I so desperately needed. This feeling persisted on and off, and still rears its head when I get caught up in the confusion and chaos of the world. “Everyone will leave you, you are unworthy” has always been the underlying belief hidden deep in my subconsciousness.

In 2012 I studied yoga teacher training, where I was introduced to meditation. This opened many doors of introspection and brought the gift of sitting with myself (meditation). I’ve been teaching yoga for 15 years, during which time one of the studios I taught at was selling A Course in Miracles. It seemed to call my name and I was ready to answer the call. Little did I know the blue book would completely up-end my life in all the right ways!

I completed a TTC journey with Coreen Walson earlier this year (2024) and joined Sandrina Niemantsverdriet’s January 2024 class. These joinings have been the touchstone for extended periods of inner peace, renewed relationships, a stronger marriage, conviction that my four adult children are always safe, powerful communication skills, and most importantly self- acceptance. The TTC journeys have strengthened my conviction that we are here for one purpose (to see our brothers and sisters as ourselves) and the only thing that holds us back is our desire to be separate. We are never alone; we are never apart. We are One. We are held. We are unconditionally loved and forgiven. Did you forget that? Were you told otherwise? We are the Christ. You and me. All of us.

Are you ready to get underneath the obstacles that seem to hold you back from the true work of the Christ (forgiveness)? Jesus has called us all by name. Will you join me and answer His call?
